We're offering a competitive salary starting from $77,886 to $86,082, depending on experience

Join our Ministerial Services team, where you'll play a key role in managing public correspondence for Oranga Tamariki and the Minister.
In this fast-paced environment, this role will have a focus on responding to Official Information Act requests and Ministerial correspondence, and contributing to the overall goal of the team to ensure we are a high performing Ministerial servicing function.
This position requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Key requirements of the role include:

Contribute to and support with Official Information Act requests for Oranga Tamariki and (on request) for the Minister's Office, and draft associated correspondence, including transfers, extensions and responses
Draft responses to correspondence received by the Minister's Office or Oranga Tamariki
Provide high quality advice and assistance to Oranga Tamariki staff about the processes, procedures and requirements relating to OIA requests and Ministerial correspondence
Build and maintain strong relationships across Oranga Tamariki and other departments and agencies as appropriate
Create a supportive and positive environment, helping others develop and achieve, and acting in the interests of the full team
Prepare regular update reports when required, to assist in managing the compliance with statutory deadlines and standard operating procedures
Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
