It will be an integral part of a forward-looking Senior Leadership team responsible for achieving the FMT strategy, overall business performance, and the provision of a high standard of service to key internal customers.Key ResponsibilitiesThe CRO is responsible for providing strategic direction and effective management of the Credit Risk portfolio and Compliance functions.
The position is also instrumental in ensuring quality property lending credit decisions through comprehensive assessment of applications, deriving decisions that balance risk with organisational growth, ultimately ensuring FMT's long-term interests and assets are safeguarded.Minimum RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you will demonstrate the following:
Minimum of 10 years' experience in credit risk, compliance, and/or risk role within financial servicesMinimum of 5 years' experience specifically in credit decisioning for property lendingExceptional communication skills - presenting, influencing, negotiating, and problem-solvingDemonstrated ability and previous experience in leading, motivating, and coaching othersProven ability to understand complex information, use strong judgement, and demonstrate sound decision makingStrength in the ability to build credibility and instill confidence internally and externallyCompany ValuesYou will have proven experience advising a Chief Executive Officer and Board, and be strongly aligned to FMT's values, as these will be defining differentiators in our assessment of your fit and character:
