THE OPPORTUNITYWe are looking for a driven and confident Aluminium Joinery Draughtsperson to join their team in New Plymouth.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will design and draw the various developments of new and existing suites.
You will assist in the testing of Aluminium Window and Door Systems, associated building products and subsequent release of products to the market.
Responsibilities include:
Assist in testing of window and door systemsEstablish and maintain records of design drawings, processing procedures, formulae, specifications, manuals etc;Maintain awareness of the current market, economic and technology trendsDevelop manufacturing drawings for production, manuals, specifiers and websiteDraw Punch tool layoutsDevelop and make recommendations regarding improved operating procedures & brochuresConduct and enforce quality control proceduresTeam player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex issuesESSENTIALLYAbility to maintain a calm and methodical demeanour under pressureTeam player with effective verbal and written communication & interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate effectively on complex technical issues with a customer-focused approachComputer literate and competent in the use of 3D AutoCAD, Autocad Solidworks CAD software (ideal), MS Office & Adobe SoftwareAbility to read drawings and understand design conceptsDemonstrated use of problem-solving/troubleshooting skills & techniquesTHE NEXT STEP.
