Innes Dean is one of the oldest law firms in the Manawatū, offering legal services in various areas of law, including commercial, property, trusts and estates, relationship property, employment, rural and elder law. About you:
We are seeking a future-focused Solicitor to join our team who shares our above values. We offer a friendly and collaborative environment and promote career advancement and work-life balance.
You will be the ideal candidate if you are an energetic and experienced generalist lawyer with at least two years' post-qualification experience, ideally having had exposure to Family law (particularly applications under the PPPR Act and division of Relationship Property), Employment Law, Elder Law issues (EPOA's, Estate & Succession Planning & Will drafting), Trusts administration, Conveyancing and Commercial matters.
You will also:
Have a strong academic record;
Have a strong work ethic;
Have thorough procedural knowledge and have handled files as part of a team and individually across the above areas of law;
Be able to demonstrate a pro-active work ethic, a high professional standard, clear communication and you will be looking for a practice of equally motivated, client-focused colleagues;
Be interested in contributing to our local community;
Be a self-starter with proven initiative, common sense and enthusiasm;
Be able to keep calm under pressure, be very organised with excellent time management skills; and
Be a team player with strong collaboration skills.
