We are a busy secondary care maternity unit, overseeing 1250 births per annum, with a full range of secondary obstetric services.You will be responsible for:
Provision of clinical midwifery services in accordance with the Midwifery Council scope of practiseProvision of primary and secondary maternity services as part of our inter-disciplinary clinical teamsBeing committed to maintaining clinical skills in accordance with organisational best practice guidelinesBeing committed to continuous quality improvement activitiesAbout the Team/Service/LocationWe provide a supportive medical team and colleagues in a friendly hospital that is big enough to offer clinical variety but small enough to provide great team relationships.

Current New Zealand Registration and Annual Practicing Certificate Midwifery Certificate.Recent clinical experience in midwifery practice.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all stakeholders.Commitment to being a team player.Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.How to ApplyTo apply for the role please click 'apply now.'
