Job Title: Product Specialist (IM / MG Brand)
Reporting to: General Manager

Overview:
TheProduct Specialistfor IM & MG brand will play a critical role in ensuring that IM & MG's vehicles are well-positioned in the competitive automotive market in Singapore. This role requires a strong passion for the automotive industry, deep product knowledge, and the ability to analyze market trends to support both the sales and marketing teams. As a Product Executive, you will be instrumental in shaping the brand's local strategy and customer experience, aligning MG's offerings with customer expectations.

Pre-requisites:

• Strong enthusiasm for the MG brand and a deep interest in automotive technology and market trends.
• Proficient in understanding customer needs and preferences within the Singapore market.
• Effective communicator who can explain product details and features in a customer-friendly way.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess competitor products and market dynamics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to create reports and presentations.
• Holds a valid Class 3 Driving Licence.

Job Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy & Market Positioning

• Assist in formulating product strategies to position IM / MG vehicles competitively within the Singapore market, leveraging insights from market trends and consumer behavior.
• Conduct in-depth product comparisons against competitors and provide actionable insights to the Sales and Marketing teams to differentiate MG's offerings.
• Make recommendations on product specifications, features, and packages to tailor MG models to local customer preferences and market demands.

• Customer Experience & Product Expertise

• Serve as the in-house product expert, supporting Sales Consultants in the showroom by providing detailed knowledge of MG vehicles, their features, and technology to enhance the customer experience.
• Work closely with Sales Managers to ensure that customers receive accurate, comprehensive information about MG products, helping them make informed purchase decisions.
• Regularly engage with customers at events and in the showroom, providing personalized product demonstrations and answering all product-related queries.

• Competitor Analysis & Market Research

• Continuously monitor the automotive landscape in Singapore, conducting detailed competitor analysis to assess how IM / MG vehicles compare to other brands in terms of features, pricing, and customer preferences.
• Provide regular reports on market intelligence and competitor offerings to Management and the Sales Team, suggesting strategies to remain competitive.
• Contribute to the development of promotional and pricing strategies based on competitor and market analysis.

• Product Training & Development

• Conduct regular product training for Sales Consultants to ensure they are well-versed in MG vehicle features and benefits, enabling them to present the products confidently to customers.
• Create certification programs to assess and maintain high levels of product knowledge within the Sales Team.
• Organize re-certification sessions periodically to ensure the team stays updated with new product features and developments.

• Event & Launch Support

• Support product launches and marketing events by preparing detailed product presentations and demonstrations, ensuring customers and potential buyers are well-informed.
• Play an active role in IM / MG brand events, providing product expertise and engaging with customers to enhance the overall brand experience.

• Product Development Recommendations

• Gather customer feedback on IM / MG models and specifications, relaying insights to the General Manager and Product Development teams.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and Sales Managers to recommend improvements or additions to MG's product offerings that better suit the Singapore market.

• Ad-hoc Responsibilities

• Assist with additional duties related to product management, sales support, and market research as needed by the Management.
• Participate in weekend market intelligence gathering and customer engagement activities when necessary.
