Neutron will be our next rocket on the launch pad, an advanced 13-tonne payload class, reusable rocket to launch the mega constellations of the future.Join our pioneering team and launch your career to new heights!INTEGRATED OPERATIONS- AVIONICS & SOFTWAREThis role will be part of the Integrated Operations team at Rocket Lab which is responsible for testing, launch, and mission operations of Electron launch vehicles starting with stack testing through pre-launch processing, launch operations, and on-orbit operations.
Integrated Operations is also responsible for configuration, checkout, and operation of related facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
Testing and operations may be conducted remotely or on-site at propulsion test facilities, the Auckland Mission Control Centre (MCC), LC-1 (Mahia), LC-2 (Wallops Island, VA), or other designated locations.ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Senior Integrated Operations Engineer at Rocket Lab's Auckland site, you will play a crucial role in the testing, launch, and mission operations of Electron launch vehicles.
From stack testing to launch operations, your responsibilities will include defining operational requirements, optimising processes, planning and conducting tests, and leading operational activities.
Additionally, you'll mentor team members, oversee the launch testing and operations of avionics and software systems on both vehicle and ground assets, and drive the development of tools and processes.To succeed, you must be highly skilled, motivated, and possess a strong work ethic and passion for space exploration.

Define and optimise test and operational requirementsPlan and conduct tests to meet program schedulesExecute and lead test operations ensuring safety and qualityPerform real-time troubleshooting and post-test data analysisSupport development and maintenance of related equipment and infrastructureContinuously improve testing and operations processesYOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
Aerospace, mechanical, electrical, mechatronic engineering degree or equivalent3+ years of experience in engineering design, testing, and/or operationsProficiency in Linux, data analysis/statistics, PythonMotivated, positive attitude with excellent communication skillsDetail-oriented and capable of working under pressureTHESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
4+ years of relevant experienceLeadership experience in time-critical engineering operationsExperience with launch vehicles or spacecraft operationsProficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, and web-based toolsWHAT TO EXPECTWe're on a mission to unlock the potential of space to improve life on Earth, but that's not an easy task.
