Rangitīkei College is a vibrant and well-resourced school located in Marton, the hub of the Rangitikei situated in beautiful countryside approximately 40km from both Palmerston North and Whanganui cities.

We are looking for a principal who can build on the vision and future-focused direction of the school.

The principal our community wants is:

• Passionate about student learning pathways and student-centred pedagogy.
• Understanding and embracing of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Willing to understand our community and its cultural and economic diversity and needs and to become immersed in our community. • Able to inspire others to do and be their best selves.

• Kind, approachable, friendly and a good communicator.

The College is a PB4L and restorative school, part of the South Rangitīkei Kāhui Ako and understands and honours the values of Te Runanga o Ngā Wairiki Ngāti Apa.

This is an opportunity for an experienced leader who wants to lead a forward-thinking, community-based school. You will appreciate rural communities and all they offer. There is much to do in this region with rivers, sea, lakes, regional and national parks and skiing 1. 5 hours away. Almost everything you would ever want is within 2 hours drive of Marton.
