We have an exciting opportunity for an Office Dispatcher to join our Christchurch Operations.
As the Dispatcher, you will be responsible for managing fleet resources effectively and planning customer freight for deliveries.
Working with the transport and operational staff, you will facilitate utilisation, planning, allocation, staging, and route planning for pick-up and delivery to meet and exceed the customers' and company's expectations.
Key Responsibilities Effectively plan and manage Customer LCL volume for collections and deliveries
Work closely with the Transport and Operations team and communicate effectively with team members to ensure both internal and external customer expectations are met
Collaborate with the Floor Dispatcher to ensure fleet capabilities are optimised to meet all daily collection and delivery requirements
Assist in providing Operations with daily volume forecasts from Customer collections to ensure effective capacity planning
May be required to operate forklifts to assist in the loading and unloading of trucks
Assist Transport Manager with transport tasks as required
Minimum Requirements 2-4 years' experience in a relevant field
Knowledge of Transport, Freight, and Logistics industry
Full NZ Driver's License (Classes 2, 4, or 5 advantageous)
Current F and OSH endorsed forklift license
Understanding of data analysis and interpretation
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
E-Road and On-Time knowledge advantageous
