The Opportunity
The Head of Manufacturing is responsible for providing strategy and overall leadership to our Manufacturing business unit, which includes the manufacturing planning, assembly, inventory, logistics, procurement, and workshop teams.
This role ensures that the teams are fully utilised, motivated, and equipped to deliver the strategic and tactical requirements expected from them.
This role will be responsible for the strategic and tactical implementation of a manufacturing strategy at RP to exceed stakeholder expectations for manufacturing delivery, maximising efficiency, optimisation of process and systems, driving product quality and driving manufacturing excellence.
This role will assist in implementing RP's business strategy and goals by establishing ways of working for their teams.

Proven depth of relevant manufacturing experience with an understanding of engineering change management as a process.
An appreciation of integrating engineering design changes into manufacturing and manufacturing products at different stages of the maturity cycle.
This role has eight direct and 30+ indirect reports, so you will need a depth of leadership experience in your career.
Strong, clear, high-quality leadership will be required to deliver RP's requirements and to progress our manufacturing business.
You will need to establish a collaborative, proactive, driven and high-performing culture within the manufacturing business unit.
They will lead the team to ensure manufacturing outcomes are met by empowering this group to take ownership of their respective areas of responsibility through clear expectation setting, regular open communication, and appropriate levels of reporting.

This is a full-time permanent role.
You will spend time at RP's sites, which are currently located in Te Puna and Tauriko (both in Tauranga).
In 2025, we will be based at a new HQ solely located in Tauriko, Tauranga.
