Rotorua Hospital's Critical Care Unit is seeking a Clinical Coach to play a vital role in mentoring and supporting our nursing team in achieving clinical excellence.

• Work alongside nurses in the clinical setting, role-modeling expert practice and fostering evidence-based decision-making.
• Provide coaching to new-to-critical-care nurses, including NETP, Change of Specialty, and internationally qualified nurses.
• Support critical care nurses in developing comprehensive assessment skills, critical thinking, and clinical reasoning.
• Ensure critical care nurses apply learning plans and demonstrate competency in delivering safe, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and educators to create and deliver impactful learning and development opportunities.

• Spend 95% of your allocated time coaching in the clinical environment.
• Model and promote timely interventions, accurate communication, and high standards of care delivery.
• Support orientation programs and district-wide educational initiatives, including new graduate programs.
• Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages professional growth and development.
• Maintain and expand your own clinical competence and certifications relevant to critical care nursing.
