About Our ClientOur client is a leading 300-bed hospital with the Peri-Operative Department in Canberra consisting of a Day Surgery Unit, Surgical Admission Lounge, a Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU), 7 Operating Theatres, and a procedure room, covering a wide range of surgical specialities including:
• Orthopaedics
• Obstetrics
• Gynaecological
• Ear Nose and Throat (ENT)
• Head and Neck
• Plastics
• Minor Vascular
• General Surgery
• Urology
• Ophthalmic

It's also conveniently located near coastlines, ski fields, and the Snowy Mountains, making weekend getaways easy.About the RoleSeeking Theatre (Anaesthetics, PACU, Scrub Scouts) Registered Nurses for full-time and Part time permanent roles in our client's fast paced Perioperative Department where your responsibilities will include:
• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments
• Collaborating with surgeons, anaesthesiologists, physicians and other members of the patient's care team.
• Recognise intraoperative and postoperative complications or changes in patient's condition and responding appropriately.
• Monitoring patient's level of consciousness throughout sedation recovery
• Manage instruments and associated sterile items, accountable items, assist the surgeons with access to instruments and supplies required to undertake the surgical procedure.About You
• Hold an AHPRA registration with no restrictions
• An experienced Scrub Scout, PACU and OR Anaesthetic Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years' experience
• Flexibility to work on rotational rosters
• Proficient in digital health systems
• Dedicated to ongoing professional development and training
• Able to pass a pre-employment National Police CheckPerks
