Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity Are you an enthusiastic and engaging pharmacy teacher with a passion for research?
Do you want to help shape and lead change in pharmacy education and research and be fully engaged with the wider health sector?
Our School is seeking an energetic pharmacy academic who will conduct high-quality, impactful research around spinal cord injury as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
The successful applicant will provide quality, innovative teaching to both undergraduate and postgraduate students within a multi-professional medical and health faculty.
As part of a top QS ranked School of Pharmacy you will be expected - and supported - to excel in teaching, research and service.
Our School's growing reputation regionally and internationally is the result of an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset.
The School is looking for a dynamic, future-focused pharmacy academic who enjoys collaboration and delivering innovation.
In return, we offer a supportive organisational culture, where the successful candidate will be encouraged to take calculated risks and succeed in this academic space.
Lecturer Early in your academic career, perhaps, or looking to develop your independence after a successful post-doctoral experience, you will demonstrate a desire to challenge the status quo in pharmacy education, research and service.
You will be a collaborative and team-oriented individual, forging your own area of expertise, but within a strategically aligned group who motivate each other.
The successful candidate will embrace strategic and operational service at the School, Faculty and University levels to enhance the sound reputation of the School's service contributions.
Qualifications Applicants must demonstrate an understanding of contemporary pharmacy practice, including the emerging professional roles of practising pharmacists in Aotearoa.
The School prides itself in delivering learning that enhances practice and is research-led through a modular curriculum.
As such, the successful applicant will integrate their research and practice experience into the learning of our undergraduate and postgraduate students, providing the foundation for advancing the contribution of pharmacists to the wider healthcare team.
For appointment as Lecturer, applicants will have a PhD in an area closely relevant to pharmacy and spinal cord injury research, or be close to submitting their thesis.
A research track record and evidence of an active research program that is aligned to spinal cord injury is preferred.
At the very least there is a need to demonstrate the potential for independent research.
Being a New Zealand registered pharmacist is highly desirable.
This is a Fulltime (40hrs/week), Permanent Role Remuneration:
$94,981-$101,141 dependent on experience and qualifications For more detailed information, please refer to the Position Description .
