We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced, and dynamic NZ Registered Pharmacist to join our ED Pharmacy at Taranaki Base Hospital.
This position will work closely with the Lead ED Pharmacist, ED staff, pharmacy, and other specialist teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing a high level of clinical pharmacy expertise within ED.
Facilitating medicines reconciliation and clinical pharmacist review early in the patient presentation to hospital.
Providing expert advice to medical, nursing and other clinical staff on safe and effective use of medicines.
Providing information to patients, caregivers and whanau on safe and effective medicine use.
Promoting safe medication practices and the use of medication systems.
Engaging in collaborative, multidisciplinary relationships.
Contributing to the education and training of pharmacy and other clinical staff members.
Contributing to ED pharmacy service development and improvement.
About You We are looking for candidates with:
A strong patient and medication safety focus.
The ability to work in an acute, fast-paced environment.
Previous clinical pharmacy experience, ideally more than 2 years experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
