The Risk Manager shall report into the leader of the Corporate Solutions team within the Group Risk Management function.The Risk Manager has primary responsibility to develop and monitor execution of Citco's Enterprise Risk Management Framework, working within the business to embed robust risk and control governance structures.
This involves working within the second line and being an exponent of the Risk Manager and Advisor and the 'check and challenge' model.ResponsibilitiesKey tasks & ResponsibilitiesRisk ManagementWork with business lines and management to identify, evaluate and manage all local areas of risk as they relate to the Citco entity business activities and regulatory requirements.
Create transparency of risk exposure and aid/support in defining and monitoring risk-mitigating solutions.Continually reassess the risks inherent in the business, ensure risk governance and assurance activities are maintained and enhanced, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings and the impact of new technology.
Coordinate relevant 2nd line risk activities (e.g., assessment, control testing, monitoring, reporting and remediation activities).
Partner with cross-functional teams (first line Risk, GRM, CTM, GIA) in remediation actions of identified risks.Provide risk management controls and process improvements for business processes:
identify process and procedural gaps / improvement opportunities, propose innovative and creative solutions, and execute approved strategies to realize efficiencies within realm of responsibility.Act as a 2nd line exponent of the 'check and challenge' model within risk assessments, reviews and internal control monitoring plans and monitor first line of defense risk control activities.Function as a trusted advisor within the business to promote risk awareness.Risk Reporting and GovernanceProvide Senior Management with risk management reporting for risk relevant meetings.Produce and provide materials towards annual planning and strategy process which are to include risk management related activities.Participate in Risk Committees and serve as an advisor of risk management.Group Risk ManagementSupport projects within Group Risk Management and serve as Divisional/Entity Risk SME / Risk Manager in relevant strategic and regulatory projects.Risk Management FrameworkDevelop and monitor execution of Citco's Group Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
Develop and monitor execution of risk management policy which is applied in the business control environment, including adherence to all internal, external and regulatory requirements.Ensure that the development and maintenance of the organization's operational risk framework is maintained through the identification and management of operational risks and that this is embedded across all functions and enhanced as required.Develop risk knowledge through provision of education, communication and training in respect of the framework.Embed robust risk and control governance structures and a strong risk culture across the organization.Foster and promote a risk and controls awareness culture.QualificationsSkills and Experience:
Ideally 10+ years' experience in Risk Management or Controls-based role in related corporate service industry.
Hold a related Bachelor's degree or comparable education relevant for risk management.
Demonstrated experience in Enterprise Risk Management.
Good knowledge on applicable regulation.Business acumen:
Understanding of the business services and industry expectations of the Division/Entity/Citco.
Additional professional qualifications, memberships & relevant training.
(e.g.
Qualifications from Institute of Risk Management, or industry / business related qualifications).Interpersonal skills/Communications:
Written and oral communication skills - ability to convey ideas and information to stakeholders at all levels (e.g.
Management Board, Department Heads, staff at various level).
Competency to engage with the regulator when required.
Ability to effectively collaborate with peers in the Group Risk Management function, project managers and first line colleagues.Technical:
Strong analytical ability with high attention to detail, ideally with experience of data analytics tools.
Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office tools - Excel - spreadsheets for analysis of data, formulas, pivot tables, charts.
PowerPoint - design presentations and training plans.
Word - create and revise policies and other risk documents.)Organization and prioritization:
Manage fluctuating workload across multiple streams to ensure deliverables are met by expected target completion dates.
