Our client PAL-V, is a Dutch company pioneering the development of FlyDrive mobility solutions. Their PAL-V Liberty vehicle is both road legal and undergoing the final phases of EASA certification for flight. With a mission to transform transportation, PAL-V also focuses on building certified global supply chains and training pilots through the FlyDrive Academy.

About the Role

On behalf of PAL-V, Kendem is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Finance. As the company works towards production of its PAL-V Liberty vehicle, they are looking for a strong financial leader to oversee and enhance their financial operations.

In this role you will lead PAL-V's financial accounting and reporting department. You will take ownership of all aspects of financial administration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of financial processes. This includes corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and the development of internal control policies and procedures.

• Leading the finance department and ensuring the accuracy of the company's financial records.
• Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations, corporate policies, and legal requirements.
• Preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial statements, including consolidation of results.
• Developing and implementing robust internal control policies and procedures.
• Overseeing all financial reporting activities, including audits and regulatory filings.
• Supervising and mentoring the finance officer(s).
• Supporting day-to-day financial operations, including AP/AR as needed.
• Performing month end closing procedures.

Ideal Candidate Profile for Head of Finance

The ideal candidate for the Head of Finance position at PAL-V is a strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality, who understands that working with a small team in a scale-up environment also requires operational work to be picked up. He/she combines extensive financial expertise with leadership skills, adaptability, and a passion for working in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: A Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Experience:

• At least 7 years of experience in financial management, including management roles.
• Proven expertise in corporate accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with international financial regulations and multi-entity financial operations.
• Experience in audit processes and internal control frameworks.
• Industry experience in manufacturing, automotive, aviation, or technology is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency with financial software and ERP systems (Knowledge of Odoo is a plus).
• Good knowledge of Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS.
