Project Engineering Manager

The position

As a Project Engineering Manager at agap2, you take on the challenge within an international environment with a local focus. You will have the opportunity to work on various projects along the years, based on your experience and interests. Projects within industries such as Banking, Fintech, Telco, Retail, Sports and Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership:

• Act as the technical representative of engineering in the project core team, ensuring all project objectives are met.
• Lead the engineering team functionally, ensuring alignment with project goals and priorities.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders to manage project interfaces and ensure smooth communication across teams.

Technical and Operational Management:

• Oversee the technical scope of the project, ensuring the timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality delivery of engineering solutions.
• Manage the customization and configuration of generic solutions to meet client-specific requirements.

QCD Management (Quality, Cost, Delivery):

• Own and manage the engineering work package, ensuring adherence to QCD commitments.
• Monitor and report project performance through dashboards and regular reports, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure project success.

Team and Stakeholder Management:

• Lead, guide, and support the engineering team, ensuring alignment with both technical and project objectives.
• Act as a key point of contact for the client, addressing technical queries and ensuring continuous alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Proven experience in project engineering management, including end-to-end project lifecycle delivery.
• A strong background in the rail industry.
• Hands-on experience in team management, whether functional or hierarchical.
• Strong background in cost and schedule management, ensuring engineering activities are executed on time and within budget.
• Experience in client-facing roles, particularly in contractual discussions and negotiations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of technical design processes and operational quality management practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, preferably also in Dutch.
