A reputable Retail Fashion company located in Kuwait is looking for a Retail Head of Operations. The role manages day-to-day retail operations both operationally and strategically, analyzes store budgets, sales, visual displays, customer service, and maintains inventory to keep stores well-stocked locally and regionally. Responsibilities include hiring and training the required managers to manage employees and working full-time hours in the stores and corporate office. The position requires the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and may involve travel between different store branches and corporate offices to complete duties. Reports to upper-level executives within the company, such as the CEO or COO.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic:
Develop and oversee the implementation of the sales strategy and performance goals in alignment with the company's strategy.
Research and Development and working with vendors.
Inventory and sales performance analysis.
Operational:
Maintain the stability and reputation of the store/stores by complying with legal requirements.
Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing company retail operational policies and procedures.
Implement and maintain retail operational policies and procedures to incorporate a sales plan, cost control, shrinkage management and reduction, audit compliance, and people management.
Contribute to future development at strategic and operational levels.
Plan, identify, communicate and delegate key responsibilities and practices to the operations territories and store management team to ensure smooth flow of retail operations.
People:
Ensure store operations requirements are fulfilled, including scheduling, assigning employees, and following up on work results.
Maintain store staff by assisting in recruitment, selection, orientation, and training.
Maintain store staff results by coaching, counseling, disciplining, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Protect staff by providing a safe and clean environment.
Develop the sales staff and support areas to optimize sales and profits.
Create and develop a coaching culture as well as promoting an environment that encourages diversity.
Lead the store teams and operations to deliver a profitable business.
Ensure staff have a high level of customer awareness and product knowledge.
Liaise with the Training Department to develop and manage the company's sales and product training programs.
Merchandise:
Formulate pricing policies by reviewing merchandise activities, determining additional sales promotions, authorizing stock clearance, and studying trends.
Market merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotions, display plans, and analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
Set the highest international merchandise standards.
Liaise with the Buying department to ensure range and stock levels are consistent with business requirements.
Financial:
Achieve financial objectives by preparing budgets, scheduling expenditure, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
Maximize sales and profitability for the company.
Set monthly targets and annual budgets.
Update forecast results.
Work closely with Upper Management to provide quality retail information.
Customers:
Use a range of internal and external information data to initiate business changes and create a customer-focused culture.
Identify current and future requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
Marketing:
Determine marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records.

Qualifications and Skills:
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals.
Leadership: Lead and motivate teams, promoting a high-performance culture.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Customer Focus: Commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing industry trends and customer demands.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Proven experience in retail operations management, preferably within the fashion industry.
Strong understanding of retail KPIs, supply chain, and inventory management.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a customer-first mindset.
Proficiency in retail management software and MS Office.
Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze data and drive profitability.
Minimum 15-20 years of experience in retail operations management.
