We are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer with a robust background in software development to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle and will be responsible for integrating security practices at every stage.
This position requires technical expertise as well as excellent communication skills and project management abilities.
The candidate must possess the ability to work independently and collaboratively and maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
Position Location:
Sparks, MD or Limerick, Ireland Key Responsibilities Support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
Develop and maintain tools and scripts to improve the DevSecOps process.
Implement security best practices into the DevOps pipeline.
Collaborate with software development teams to ensure secure coding practices.
Automate security testing and validation to detect vulnerabilities early and often.
Monitor and respond to security threats and incidents.
Conduct security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Provide training and documentation on security best practices for development and operations teams.
Enhance the company's security posture by staying abreast of the latest threats and technologies.
Developing technical solutions for complex problems using sound engineering principles.
Adhering to FDA regulations and BD quality systems.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline 5 - 7 years of proven experience in software development Strong understanding of DevOps principles and methodologies Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and securing cloud infrastructures Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Self-motivated to plan, organize, and prioritize assigned activities Experience with either C#, Python, is mandatory while SQL and PowerShell for scripting and automation is preferred Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is preferred Proficient in using security tools for static and dynamic analysis (e.g., SonarCloud, OWASP ZAP) Experience in performance tuning of applications is preferred For certain roles at BD, employment is contingent upon the Company's receipt of sufficient proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
