Role: Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Dublin
Salary: €75-€80k doe + Package

Role Purpose

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing engineering activities on a specific construction project. Your responsibilities will vary depending on the project and will be coordinated with the Project Manager. You will work to ensure the seamless integration of technical design with on-site installation and successful commissioning, all while upholding the values and goals of the organization.

Senior Electrical Engineer Responsibilities

In collaboration with your project team, you will manage various stages of the project, including:

>Conduct electrical design reviews to identify design gaps, deviations, or contradictions in specifications.
>Validate cable sizing and provide recommendations as needed.
>Ensure timely completion of technical assessments and resolve any technical issues without delay.
>Prepare and issue electrical technical submittals.
>Oversee the submittal approval process, track procurement and delivery of electrical equipment, and verify the receipt of equipment.
>Participate in regular supply chain meetings to ensure progress is maintained in alignment with the construction schedule.
>Keep track of project progress on system trackers, ensuring alignment with the overall construction timeline.
>Work with the BIM team to review the electrical installation, ensuring the design is constructible and that there is sufficient space for equipment and cabling installation and maintenance.
>Coordinate with the design team and supply chain to ensure the correct operation of the plant on-site and ensure a successful project handover.
>Conduct electrical system walk-downs to ensure systems comply with specifications and drawings.
>Prepare test packs, FTOPs, and O&Ms for approval.
>Manage specialist vendors during the commissioning process to ensure the timely completion of their work.
>Provide client training in accordance with the agreed training plan.

Necessary Requirements for the Senior Electrical Engineer

>3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
>Experience working with both LV and MV systems, particularly in building services and data centre environments.
>Over 6 years of project engineering experience with an electrical contractor.
Proven experience delivering small to medium electrical projects (e.g., commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, or data centre projects).
>Strong commercial awareness.
>Ability to perform electrical system walk-downs to ensure compliance with specifications.
>Experience in developing technical submittals, conducting technical reviews, and assessments.
>Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental systems and procedures.
>Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
>Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence others.
>Strong record-keeping and administrative skills.
>Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, including coaching junior engineers and graduates.
>Innovative approach to electrical and technical challenges.
>Strong planning and project management skills.
>Analytical problem-solving skills with a decisive approach.
>Process-driven mindset, with a focus on EHS and Quality Work Management Systems and Processes.
