Element are looking for Principal Radio Engineers to support significant growth within our Connected Technologies business.We are looking for dynamic personalities who can help the expansion of Radio testing capabilities in the UK.As a senior member of the team, you will be performing a variety of testing assignments.
You will ensure timely and accurate test results.
You will develop test plans using your strong understanding of Wireless Technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) and test standards.
You will also be required to guide and help junior engineers.

Responsibilities:
Provides technical and engineering leadership, and supports the development of new technologies Accountable for accurate and timely release of testing data to customers including creation and sign off of test reportsAble to oversee and guide problem solving of complicated technical challengesProvides input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customersAssists in the professional development of technicians and engineers within the local laboratorySupport technical leadership to interpret and apply regulations to a variety of cutting-edge technologiesAvailability to work a morning and evening shift patternEssential skills:
In-depth knowledge of ETSI and FCC Radio test standards (EN 300-328, EN 301-893, EN 300 440, FCC rule part 15.247 and 15.409Strong understanding of Wireless Technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee…)Reasonable Understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 and quality system managementIn-depth knowledge of testing Consumer Products for global certification requirementsHas also demonstrated the ability to develop technical knowledge in their chosen fieldWorking knowledge of laboratory safety Nice to have:
Will have a minimum of 5 years' pertinent post-degree engineering experience, or advanced academic/professional qualificationsWill have a minimum 5 years in an EMC / Radio test laboratory environmentKnowledge of UKAS Accreditations and quality systems would be highly beneficialCompany Overview:
