To provide strategic and tactical building services commissioning management support to the project team for the engineering process of a project from conception to completion.
Our focus is on teamwork our philosophy is to be part of the solution, not the problem.We focus on quality in all aspects of commissioning management - planning, programming, reporting, collaborative working, witnessing, and handing over to the FM teams.The role is to ensure works and installation conform to design, specifications and legislation and is purely an inspection orientated and process driven duty.
This is only a small percentage of our role; the largest element is managing the commissioning process from inception to completion to ensure a smooth delivery.The management part is the key - we are Cx Managers not Witnessing agents.General Duties:
As a Commissioning Manager, you will manage and drive the commissioning process and lead the on-site functional testing.
To succeed in this role, it is important that you have experience in highly technical buildings, effective communication, and people skills, resourceful, and operate well under pressureExcellent IT, planning, and reporting skills are essentialTo assist in the day-to-day activities to include but not limited to witnessing on site testing and commissioning, review of design/testing certification and method statements, input into the project tracking matrix inclusive of IRL (Issues & Resolutions Log), and issue, input into commissioning meetings, input into the 2 week lookahead and sub-contractor liaisonReview:
Review and assist contractors / sub-contractors in the development of all project-related QA/QC documentation, providing technical input to the formal change control processesReview and input to the commissioning procedures and review commissioning RAMS prior to commissioning activitiesReview commissioning data against design parameters implementing any mitigation of recovery plansRecord:
Author functional/IST test scriptsCompile 'Closeout' documentationCreate and manage Handover commissioning checklistsMonitor:
Monitor and advise when all the commissioning documentation has been reviewed and signed off to the appointed consultants for the projectAction:
Ensure that all plant/systems have been fully commissioned/inspected in line with the contract specificationsEnsure that all appropriate commissioning handover documentation has been reviewed prior to handoverComment on O&M manuals produced by the contractorManage:
Attend and lead commissioning meetingsMake sure that commissioning defects are communicated properly and dealt withEnsure all parties are co-ordinated for attending witnessingLead on-site functional testingManage trainingReport:
Attend and report on commissioning and testing as appropriateIssue weekly commissioning reports using our tracking and reporting toolsGovernance:
