Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary: £45,000 - £47,000
Shift: Monday to Friday - 3 Shift Pattern
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in an industrial manufacturing plant. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring our plant runs efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities for Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
Perform regular maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to prevent breakdowns.
Conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and manage repair schedules.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless operation and address any urgent repairs.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
Comply with health, safety, and environmental standards to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements for Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
Experience: Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent).
Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. Experience with predictive and preventative maintenance techniques.
Flexibility: Ability to work shifts and be on-call for emergency repairs.
