As a Private CAMHS Consultant, you will be at the forefront of psychiatric care, offering both inpatient and outpatient treatment and clinical leadership in our private adolescent mental health unit and private outpatient CAMHS team.
You will work closely with our dedicated Multidisciplinary Team to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
Clinical Responsibilities:
Serving as the Consultant and Responsible Clinician within the Multidisciplinary TeamTaking overall responsibility for patient care and treatment plansAssessment and management of cases collaborating with patients, carers and external stakeholdersChairing MDT/CPA Meetings and adhering to organizational admission and discharge policiesContributing to unit governance through expertise and leadershipAssessment and management of outpatient cases collaborating with patients, carers, therapists and external stakeholdersManagement Responsibilities:
Offering Clinical Leadership in collaboration with the Ward ManagerEnsuring the ward complies with organizational and regulatory requirementsActive participation in ward governance meetings and organizational quality improvement initiatives and service developmentAttending Monthly CAMHS governance meetingsAttending regular Outpatient CAMHS MDT meetings and involvement in service developmentAcademic Responsibilities:
Participating in monthly Academic meetingsDelivering case presentations and teachingEngaging in audit, research, and quality improvement initiativesPost Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should have:
MBBS or equivalent Medical Degree and MRCPsychFull GMC registration with a license to practiceRegistration on the specialist register with CAMHS CCT/CESR, along with valid AC StatusExperience and knowledge in CAMHSKnowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, as well as the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of PracticeCommitment to continued professional developmentAbility to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary teamKey Responsibilities:
Performing comprehensive assessments and developing treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.Leading ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and care reviews.Overseeing clinical management of complex cases, particularly those involving risk or challenging behaviour.Supporting patients and families through treatment decisions, relapse prevention, and recovery pathways.Providing mentorship, supervision, and support to junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.Driving quality improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with CQC regulations and national standards.Collaborating with site leadership to ensure efficient service delivery and patient satisfaction.Our Team & Culture:
