Our Data Platform is at the heart of our business and powers our ability to bring high value to our customers, and you will be joining a team that owns this fundamental enabler of our success.About the RoleThe Senior Software Engineer in a cross-functional team with the charter of building new capabilities into a structured, well-organized and governed data platform.
This team consists of engineers passionate about data, infrastructure, and about building a platform that enables engineers to work with data in an agile and effective manner.ResponsibilitiesDesigning and building the infrastructure for ingest and egress for both batch and streaming data.Collaborating with teams across our business to assist them in utilizing platform components or planning new features.Implementing modern development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.Mentoring Engineers to help grow their skills and careers.Performing all parts of the lifecycle, including infrastructure build, code, deployment, QA, and monitoring.Delivering high-quality features through good agile, CI/CD and DevOps practices, and supporting your team in their engineering excellence.RequirementsHave good interpersonal and written communication skills.Be aware of differences and challenges of working with both streaming data sets and more traditional data sets.Experience with AWS data stack (such as S3, Glue, Athena).Experience with infrastructure as code Terraform.Have working SQL knowledge and experience working with several relational databases.Experience in Python.At LexisNexis Risk Solutions, having diverse employees with different perspectives is key to creating innovative new products for our global customers.
