Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Site Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a blend of strong leadership skills and technical expertise, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This is working for a main contractor, who are seeking a SM with experience working on JCT D&B schemes. They majority of projects are traditional build with the odd RC frame development. Projects consist of demo of existing buildings, moving and implementing sub-stations through to the main build and fit-out. The client's are housing associations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all site activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to ensure effective workflow and communication.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on site in a timely and efficient manner.
• Prepare and maintain accurate site documentation, including reports, budgets, and schedules.
• Ensure that all work complies with the company's policies and procedures as well as legal requirements.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in the new build residential sector.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and technology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
• Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS) are preferred.
