I am working with our client in Bristol looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join them on a contract that runs to the end of 2025.Role:

Full time (Monday -Friday, 4.5 days, 35 hours per week, min 3 days on site) Salary:
43.62 per hour Umbrella Clearance:
BPSS & SCRole Overview - The client here is in the process of acquiring the trade and assets of a key supplier.
A new company will be established for this purpose.
This company will have turnover of c.
400m with many stakeholders relying on the timeliness and accuracy of the financial information.
The individual will be part of a dynamic team, working across different sites.
They will work closely with the Accounting team in order to deliver financial information in the most efficient way possible.
It is vital that they understand the activities of the business to pre-empt potential issues and to identify possible errors in the data.ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities pre deal closing are as follows:
Setting up lead ledgers in SAP (P11)Assisting with Due Diligence on the opening balance sheetLoading assets into SAP with the correct data attributesDefining and documenting key financial processes and controlsEnsuring internal controls are in place in line with business ERM requirementsKey responsibility post-closing is to contribute to the 'on time, on quality' delivery of the monthly consolidation package and annual statutory accounts for new company.
This involves the:
Application of IFRS, in line with Group Accounting PoliciesOversight of key internal controls and regular reporting of risks and opportunities through the ERM toolContinual review of processes and procedures to identify and implement improvementsAnalysis of data trends using understanding of business operationsApplication of UK GAAP in order to produce the UK statutory accountsContribution to internal and external auditsCo-ordination of inputs and deliverables from shared service centre (AGBS)Provision of information to the Tax team to support tax computations Skill Set EssentialQualified Accountant with experience of working in an accounting teamUnderstanding of IFRS and UK GAAP reporting requirementsKnowledge and experience in SAP or equivalent financial reporting toolsAbility to work in a dynamic, enthusiastic team and to contribute with a positive, proactive mindsetStrong communication skills - multiple stakeholders at different levels and in different countriesContinuous improvement mindsetExperience of interacting with internal and external audit teams If you are interested in applying for this position and you meet the requirements, please apply!Line Up Aviation has carved its own place in the recruitment of Aviation and Aerospace personnel all over the world for more than 30 years.
