Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for an Infotainment Project Engineer to be based at our clients site in Woking.
Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.

Role summary:
As an Infotainment Project Engineer you will be responsible for the development and delivery of state-of-the-art infotainment features to current and future road cars, as well as supporting the Principal Infotainment Engineer in supplier management, proof of concept development and business reviews.
The Infotainment team is responsible for the specification, test and delivery of all infotainment systems, which includes developing system requirements, test case and procedure creation, manual test execution and automated testing.
This position requires a highly motivated, proactive, and hands-on team player with an exceptional attention to detail, diligence, and a positive attitude. The fast-paced development and bespoke target platform provide a challenging environment suited to an engineer who can quickly develop skills in new areas and liaise with other engineers within a multidisciplinary team, with experience to take additional responsibility mentoring other team members.

Dimension of Function:
Engineering, Research and Development (ER&D) is a growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on projects and programs for our clients. This position will be working on Infotainment features within the cockpit electronics projects for our customers.

Areas of Responsibility:
Writing and reviewing detailed system specifications for cockpit electronics features
Leading the integration of infotainment system features with the overall vehicle architecture
Managing hardware and software suppliers to ensure the delivery of infotainment features on time, to cost and within quality and functional specifications
Reporting on current activities, software status and issues at a business level
Develop and co-ordinate DVP plans for the infotainment system
Ensure and sign-off launch readiness of features for production
Testing road cars with the latest features and content before release.
Assist with fault finding, diagnostics and root cause analysis of software and hardware failures.
Reporting bugs and creating test reports.
Drive issue resolution with hardware and software suppliers
Take responsibility for resolving infotainment issues on current production vehicles.

Knowledge / Experience:
Experience in the development and delivery of electrical and electronic systems for automotive applications
Detailed experience in one or more of the following areas Cluster/Driver Information, Radio (AM, FM, DAB, SiriusXM, HD), Navigation, Multimedia, Connectivity, OTA, Bluetooth, Hands-Free Phone, Parking Systems, Smartphone integration, etc.
Experience of the Systems Development Lifecycle (V Model); writing system requirements, defining test cases and writing test procedures.
Ability to produce and review formal documentation to a professional standard.
Experience in the creation and maintenance of DFMEA's
Organised, systematic and understand the process of fault finding.
Knowledge and experience with CAN/LIN/Ethernet and related tools such as CANoe/CANalyzer
Familiar with issue tracking tools (Jira, Mantis, Bugzilla etc.)
Be able to take responsibility for feature and project implementation.
