Senior Solutions Architect Barclays Bank PLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Solutions Architect to spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape.
Key Accountabilities:
Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, developers, and project managers to refine and clarify functional and non-functional requirements.
Produce solution architecture documentation describing business architecture, solution architecture, technical infrastructure architecture, cyber security factors, and data architecture.
Engage with internal standards teams to confirm and validate solution compliance with standards around data lineage, cyber security, and architectural best practices.
Work with solutions architects, architects, and tech leads to define broader strategies and roadmaps that facilitate multi-year and multi-project programs.
Support development teams to grow talent and guide developers on the importance and impact of sound architecture in creating robust, performant, and extensible systems.
Requirements:
Experience in creating scalable, flexible, efficient, and secure solution architecture deliverables that meet business requirements, align with enterprise architecture roadmaps, and industry best practices.
Ability to create clear solution architecture diagrams and deliverables that are easy to understand.
Ability to create different architectural views and diagrams for business, solution, technical infrastructure, and data architecture.
Technical Capability:
Demonstrate deep understanding of multiple technologies, design patterns, and programming languages.
Proficiency in cloud computing platforms, data modeling, network architecture, and software development.
Ability to review and provide feedback on application designs from component teams to ensure alignment with solution architecture.
Requirement Analysis, Problem Solving:
Analyze complex business problems, requirements, and determine business goals and root causes of problems.
Ability to create effective solutions that meet business requirements and project timescales.
Communication & Collaboration:
Effective communication and collaboration across multiple functional component teams and with different stakeholders.
Ability to translate technical concepts into easily understood solution designs and present them persuasively to stakeholders and architecture review boards.
