Join Our Team as a Community Manager!
Are you passionate about building and nurturing communities? Are you looking for driving impactful change in the education sector? We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Community Manager to manage the development, delivery, and evaluation of our Fellowship communities aimed at transforming education systems.
We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge. The Partnership for Education brings together in one place the expertise in education reform from Cambridge University Press & Assessment, supported by the global network of the University of Cambridge. We partner with clients to develop education systems. This can involve providing a number of different products and services and delivering bespoke solutions which best fit the context. Clients are likely to include Ministries of Education, donor organisations, private foundations, national/regional education organisations and exam boards.
About the role
As a Community Manager, you will focus on the strategic direction and delivery of activities to support our Fellowship communities throughout the product lifecycle. Community members are senior government officials and policymakers in the education sector. You will manage the successful development, delivery, and evaluation of the communities within our wider portfolio of products and services for Education Reform.
• Lead on innovative and impactful community strategies: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with community member needs and market trends to create business value. Track key metrics to improve user experience and the impact of the community.
• Build and nurture relationships: Translate strategy into action by implementing and embedding retention and engagement strategies for our Fellowship communities. Onboard new community members and manage adherence to community guidelines, and capitalise on relationships for thought leadership and business opportunities. Represent the Fellowship communities internally and externally to senior stakeholders, including senior Ministry of Education representatives, clients, funders, and suppliers.
• Engage the Community: Develop and implement strategies to engage the alumni community across various platforms (social media, forums, etc.), organize and manage community events, and share engaging content that resonates with our community. Manage internal and external communication channels and engage regularly with community members and champions.
• Drive and manage the community lifecycle: Lead on all processes in the product lifecycle, including market research, planning, positioning, requirements, roadmap development, delivery, product launch and growth.
• Gather and analyse feedback: Collect and analyse community feedback to inform product development and improve user experience. Implement methods to gather community member feedback and valuable insights to guide the communities value and viability.
• Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration: Establish and manage complex relationships with external partners, clients / funders and senior stakeholders. Collaborate closely with technical, marketing, and commercial teams to ensure the quality and success of the communities.
• Contribute to broader strategy: Play a key role in shaping the wider Partnership for Education Product Strategy.
About you
• You love to build and nurture communities enthusiastically, fostering engagement and creating a positive environment. Ideally, you are familiar with community management tools and platforms as well as social media.
• You communicate effectively and excel in interpersonal and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
• You collaborate seamlessly, providing flexible direction to product teams, funders, partners, and suppliers.
• You thrive in innovative environments, working autonomously to deliver value daily.
• You solve problems creatively and continuously seek to improve user experience and product impact.
If you are ready to take on a role that will allow you to make a significant impact on education reform, we would love to hear from you!
