What if, in your next adventure, you were surrounded by people who, like you, look for an unlimited playground to explore, share, and test, would you care to hear more? You've opened the right door! As an R&D team, making sure your ideas are heard and encouraged is what we strive to do!
We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our User Data Platform - Cookies team with our R&D Department of 900 engineers!
In a team serving multiple internal clients - such as audience, bidding and reco components - you will design and implement algorithms and processes to aggregate user data, make it available to inform eligibility/arbitrage/recommendation and enforce user data governance requests.
You will understand the objectives of the internal clients and drive engineering plan across multiple components from design through rollout, which set a high standard in end-to-end observability.
You will strive to design a system that allows clients to quickly experiment and roll out new user data computed features through the cookie factory.
You enjoy the engineering challenge of scaling multiple approaches through both offline Spark jobs and online streaming processes which must aggregate billions of daily events from billions of daily users.
You manage to plainly explain complex systems to different kinds of audiences and are able to promptly onboard members of other R&D teams on the initiative you are driving.
You have at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
You have a Software Engineering degree.
You've previously worked with Spark or Scala with other distributed computing technologies.
You are curious about new technologies and like experimenting with them.
You love sharing your knowledge with others and helping them improve.
You're familiar with Agile methods and enjoy working with others to achieve the team's goals.
You have a proactive attitude and you approach problems by thinking positively.
You have good oral and written communication skills in English.
You will be part of an Engineering team that is recognized in our industry and has an active presence to international conferences, meetups and demos all around the globe.
You will be able to contribute actively to the programs that shape our unique R&D culture, such as 'voyagers' (temporarily joining another team, to work on something different), frictionless internal mobility, '10% projects', mentoring, technical talks, hackathons, etc.
