MEDICAL COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER (HAEMATOLOGY AND ONCOLOGY)

What will you do

In this vital role, you be part of the Medical team, reporting to the Medical Development Director.

Your main goal will be to deliver fundamentals of local Scientific Communication as defined by MedCom plans, provide ad hoc MedCom support to the Affiliate brand team(s) as well as contribute to the development of local brand MedCom plans as component to the Medical / Brand plan.

Main responsibilities

1. Timely and high quality delivery of assigned SciCom deliverables and activities as a component of medical / brand teams based on local / regional strategies and team priorities
2. Adherence to regulatory and legal regulations, SOPs, policies and guidelines
3. Delivery of defined functional activities and adherence to functional guidelines
4. Ensuring close cooperation with IHQ MedCom
5. Planning and management of product MedCom budget
6. Review/Approval of non-promotional and promotional materials as per SOPs
7. Support the development and refinement of standard methodologies and functional processes, systems and standards
8. Support vendor management for MedCom related activities
9. Maintain and expand knowledge and expertise in relevant medical scientific areas
10. Collect and provide metrics on the quality and quantity of delivered MedCom activities
11. Contribute to local MedCom planning, and implementation
12. Lead allocated budget
13. Deliver or support delivery of medical scientific training for internal staff or vendors

Non-promotional & promotional materials

1. Provide input / guidance to commercial in the development of promotional materials with scientific content and reviews / approve promotional material as per SOP
2. Ensure local reviewing and approval of global derived non-promotional items (such as slide decks), after local adaptation if needed
3. Ensure timely developing and delivering scientific contents, for internal and external usage based on plans and country needs
4. Review / approve non-promotional materials as per SOP
5. Partner with Medical Advisor in the development of non-promotional educational materials
6. Support RML organization with tools and training for field based activities and RML plans

Support to educational activities

1. Support/lead the development and delivery of affiliate satellite symposia and educational events
2. Participate in planning and implementation of satellite symposia and similar scientific/educational events, ensure high scientific standards and alignment with key messages
3. Provide congress support, including internal congress books, Medical CI collection, Medical booth materials, Post congress's information, such as web ex and external congress reports
4. Support planning and delivery of digital channel Medical activities in assigned area
5. Support Advisory boards by delivering required materials

What you will need to accomplish your tasks

1. PhD in a life science, Pharm D, MD or MSc with substantial additional biomedical background
2. Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience (preferably in biotech/pharm. industry)
3. Experience in multiple areas, including medical affairs or medical marketing and with international exposure
4. Experience in the development and delivery of symposia / educational programs and medical scientific tools, such as slide decks
5. Experience with interpretation of clinical trials and pre-clinical data
6. Experience in generation of science based materials.
7. Basic knowledge of clinical trial conduct and top line regulatory issues desirable

Knowledge

1. Broad scientific knowledge and specific knowledge relevant to assigned therapeutic area
2. Knowledge of regulatory / safety / legal requirements and implications of Medical Communication
3. Project management
4. Fluency in written and spoken English and French
