YOUR ROLE
The mission of the Studies Project Engineer is to carry out logistics and transport studies, to work on the creation or optimization of business solutions:
Carry out logistics and transport studies for known or new clients
Design and optimize customers' Supply Chain logistics solutions and participate in the implementation of actions as support
Conduct studies of logistics solutions for our 3PL clients at the request of Commerce (BD and GKAM)
Prepare responses in agreement with Commerce/Business Development (BD) to the various tenders received
Optimize transport plans and identify possible synergies between our customers
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
ACTIVITIES
Gather and analyze customer requirements
Collect the information necessary to carry out the studies (purchase, resources, standards, deadlines, quality, etc.)
Carry out feasibility studies
Develop innovative and optimized solutions
Suggest flow optimizations to help improve performance
Gather and analyze offers from transport suppliers or service providers
Challenge offers/solutions received from internal suppliers (Group subsidiaries, business experts) or external suppliers in relation to the buyer
Draw flowcharts
Establish a pricing proposal for services (transport, centers, administrative & documentary services)
Write reports and summary documents
Present the results of the study
Support operational teams in project implementation
Design and implement monitoring indicators
Follow processes and report on its activity
TRANSVERSAL COORDINATION
Coordinate and control the studies of internal entities
Gain the trust of internal contacts affected by the project(s)
Mobilize the impact of internal parties per project(s) around the achievement of common objectives
Mobilize internal parties to meet customer needs
FEASIBILITY ANALYZES
Estimate expected costs
Perform simulations
Calculate margin using data
Evaluate and choose the most appropriate response to customer requirements taking into account all constraints
Evaluate the feasibility of the project from geographical, industrial and legal points of view
Identify and evaluate the challenges of an action or project in terms of potential gains (profitability, productivity, savings, etc.) and added value
Present and clarify a feasibility study
STUDY PROCEDURES
Apply the performance methodology of study audits
Understand and delimit the scope of a study
Define the study methodology based on the expected results
Present and clarify the conclusions of a study
Transform the results of the study into an action plan
Prepare and present offers to be submitted to BD/GKAM as part of customer calls for tenders
COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF CUSTOMER NEEDS
Understand and analyze the needs and particular characteristics of the client
Summarize the main elements of the tenders received to its management
Survey of customer situation and its requirements
TIPS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Support and explain the choice of solution or resolution of a problem
Give advice to facilitate or help guide decision-making
Identify the advantages and limitations of the various options
Recommend solutions adapted to a customer requirement
PLANNING
Define and consolidate a study schedule and response to calls for tenders
Identify and plan deadlines while respecting customer deadlines
Establish resources to monitor compliance with the schedule
Define priorities and review current studies based on projects received
Detect production delays compared to schedule
Estimate the time required for the study
Identify and plan the different phases of a study/project
Prioritize the stages of a study taking into account internal and external constraints (issues, importance, urgency, etc.)
Overcome possible hazards/delays by implementing corrective actions
RETEX
Update personal knowledge in his field of activity
Detect events or changes in the environment that may affect its area of activity
Carry out prospective studies in relation to its field of activity (strategic monitoring)
MARKET INTELLIGENCE
Participate in the detailed inventory of all flows operated by our subsidiaries/the market by customer
Monitor the automobile transport market
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Higher studies (preferably Technical or Logistics)
Level of studies: Bac+5
Fluency in English and French
A 3rd language is a Plus
Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
MS Project, Access
Outlook
Internet
Programming (VBA), SQL query language;
At least 3 years of professional experience in Logistics
Project and risk management
Budget management
Be customer and results oriented
Effective communication
Sense of analysis and synthesis
Logistics and transport regulations
Continuous improvement
Mastery of IT tools within its scope
Knowledge of the specifications of transport and logistics equipment, means and resources
Knowledge of upstream and downstream logistics in relation to the position

Knowledge of existing customers, their profiles, their flows
Knowledge of Ceva activity, its products and its information system
Knowledge of the local and international logistics market
