PURPOSE OF THE MISSION :

We're currently looking for a Data Steward to join our Data Steward team, that support us to build up and manage the Geopost common referential for our Pricing & Billing Domain.

A modern, efficient and reliable Pricing & Billing Data domain is key as it enables Pricing & Commercial to maintain and manage rates in line with the strategy and commercial policy.

Join us in a pivotal role where you'll structure key referential data to support our digital acceleration in supporting building the referential system for pricing & billing, that provides the needed functionality to facilitate the user experience and user journey in our digital tools.
You'll be essential in ensuring our master data is optimized to deliver maximum potential, enabling our Data Domain Owners to fully leverage their referential data.
Collaborate with our business to set up and define organizational best practices for working in an agile environment.

Objective / activities and expected deliverables

The focus of this mission is to build up a common referential for our Pricing and Billing Domain.

You will support us to implement Geopost master data strategy, developing & implementing master data management solution in Business & IT landscape for the Pricing and Billing Domain.

You will support us in standardizing processes for managing enterprise-wide data throughout the data lifecycle:
from data capture to processing and usage across business processes and IT application landscape.

You will support and guide the Business Data Owner to implement master data governance processes and data implementations in our Pricing, Billing and MDM Solution.
To reach this goal you will closely with Geopost and Business units specifically with marketing department but also with business IT stakeholders

Being part of our four-person team of Data Stewards you will be strongly supported by our team of the MDM Office, that will support in analysing the business processes, building up the data models and enhancing our referential and house-made MDM Solutions.

The main activities / deliverables are :

• Provide strategic guidance and MDM best practices to support the Data domain ambitions.
• Guide the definition and roll-out of data governance strategies, policies, roles, responsibilities, processes, controls, and rules.
  
• Facilitate the discussions with the key stakeholders to support identify the key Business Processes and master and reference data needs connected to it.
  Animate working Groups to identify the key data and understand the functional dependencies
• Design the different views of the Data Model from Defining the functional dependencies to creating the entity relationship model:
  implement data hierarchies, taxonomies, other relationships to organize & classify objects, and introduce data-stewardship responsibility.
  Creation of the needed Data Models in UML
• Lead design and implementation of data governance workflows, business rules, data modelling, data Integration
• Produce and update all documentation needed to create a referential and to manage its data (Data analysis, Data model, Data Fact sheet, Data management process, Data Business rules, Data catalog…)
• Interact with the Business stakeholders, product owners, IT architects to prioritize and select enhancements to MDM solution.
• Provide technical leadership to the project team, support data mapping, define policies and business rules for master data creation and maintenance.
• Take care of data cleansing tasks to cleanse Pricing & Billing Domain data and load it to various systems for testing/validation and go live.
• Prepare design documents for Pricing & Billing referential system data migration and import/export activities.
• Support integration, system, and user acceptance testing, manage migration and cut over strategy, data loads

PROFILE & SKILLS

Main Skills:

Practical leadership in master data management, principles, methodology, notation & associated tools (UML based)

A deep understanding of data lifecycle (data profiling, data quality, master data management)

• Profound understanding and experience in re-organisation of Data Governance principles

Ability to design data integration, data modelling, MDM workflow, especially in decentralised environment.

• Ability to interact (drive, coach …) a non-technology audience in MDM journey

Experience in transport and parcel delivery industry or curious quick learner

• Ability to work autonomous

Experience in complex multi-BU, multi-cultural environnement desired

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with business stakeholders and development teams and to make project presentations

3+ years' experience effectively working on master data management, processes and procedures across various functional domains preferred.

Experience in working in agile environment.
