Test Optimization is a product that automatically instruments and traces every software test in our customers' CI workflows, giving them complete visibility into test health, performance, reliability, and flakiness.
Test Optimization is part of the Software Delivery suite, which aims at helping software engineering teams do more, faster, in a secure way.We're looking for a hands-on technical leader to cultivate this team of talented engineers while also helping to shape the product roadmap to ensure Datadog's full product suite becomes more and more developer-friendly.
You will drive innovative and ambitious initiatives to further expand the Test Optimization product by expanding our libraries' capabilities, supporting new languages/frameworks, and making it easier for our customers to onboard, to accelerate their time to value with the Test Optimization product.At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table.

Lead and develop a talented team of libraries engineers, who are responsible for building the product end-to-end, from data collection to data visualization, directly managing 7 engineersParticipate in hands-on work:
Code reviews, design reviews, and coding.Create a strong team culture aligned with our engineering standards and our customer focusWork closely with product management and other engineering managers to support powerful user workflows that best leverage the vast amount of information being collectedEnsure the development and continuous improvement of our SDKs, ensuring they are easy to use and powerful, while minimizing overhead in our customers' codebasesHelp grow the team and shape the engineering culture of a distributed team based mainly in the Madrid and Lisbon officesWho You Are:
You have experience working with low-level libraries used by thousands of engineers to enhance their own codeYou have previous experience, such as serving as a tech lead or people manager, leading software engineering teamsYou are an excellent leader with strong interpersonal skills, and you have the ability to build and lead high-performing teams, and setting priorities effectively, while mentoring junior and senior engineers to support their career growthYou have a track record of delivering high-quality software products on schedule and collaborating closely with product management and other engineering managers to set the vision and strategy for your projectsDatadog values people from all walks of life.
