SEO Project Manager - German speaking - Austrian market

We are looking for a motivated German speaking SEO Project Manager to join our International SEO Team, based in our Headquarters in Madrid (Spain).

Context of the position

• The SEO Project Manager is integrated into the international content team in Madrid.
• Selectra Austria offers customers the opportunity to conclude energy contracts with us with the aim of reducing their monthly costs and finding the best offers on the market.
• Under the supervision of Mélanie Nguon, you will be responsible for the on-site content creation for the Austrian market and websites. The international content team consists of 13 SEO specialists who work for different markets such as Belgium, Germany, Ireland, and Romania.
• Mission? The creation and follow-up of German-language content on energy and water with the aim of positioning our website as the reference to help Austrian consumers make the best choices for their energy contracts.
• Goal: Your goal is to generate the number of quality leads for our sales department and improve online sales. SEO is an important acquisition channel for Selectra.

Increase the share of leads originating from SEO for stromliste. at and selectra. at, and reduce the cost of acquisition.

• Conduct an audit of existing content, identifying areas of improvement.
• Plan and implement a full content/SEO strategy, including the creation of sitemaps and integration of new content.
• Analyze website traffic and user behavior to optimize lead generation performance.

• Optimize and enhance existing website content to improve ergonomics and search engine rankings.
• Conduct continuous performance monitoring and implement changes based on analytics.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (e. g. , AT Country Manager, Link Building team) for synergy in SEO strategy.

• Stay informed on developments in the AT energy market and integrate insights into website content.
• Ensure all published content meets high-quality standards and aligns with customer needs.

• Utilize tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and Ahrefs to analyze data and present performance insights.
• Identify new opportunities and actionable improvements using data-driven strategies.

• Collaborate with technical, analytical, and design teams to implement and refine SEO strategies.
• Ensure smooth coordination with the Head of SEO International and other content teams for best practices and alignment.

Profile
Essential hard skills required are:

• Passion for SEO and digital marketing.
• 3-5+ years experience in a fast-paced SEO role.
• Proven, result-driven track record of SEO successes.
• Native German speaker (Spanish/French a plus).
• Expertise in tools:
• Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog.
• Bonus: Google Optimize, Dareboost, Google Tag Manager.
• Knowledge of coding & data:
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, Data Structures.
• Comfortable with advanced CMS setups (e. g. , Drupal).
• Experience with management (direct or cross-functional leadership).
