IT is at the heart of de Digital Transformation and enables GEMS to optimize renewable assets, manage energy for decentralized assets and clients and supports all businesses and support units at GEMS Iberia.

The team is also responsible for managing relationships with technological partners and coordination with other IT areas within GEMS & ENGIE.

Role Overview: Functional/Technical Analysis: You will conduct functional and technical analysis of use cases for your internal clients Custom Solutions: Develop solutions using languages and tools best suited for the job, keeping maintainability and security in mind.

Deployment and Maintenance: Deploy the solution (cloud) and maintain/evolve existing local solutions.

Collaboration with the business and IT teams: You will work closely with other departments and teams to integrate and optimize IT capabilities.

Agile Development: as a developer at GEMS, you will be responsible for building and maintaining local systems and its interfaces with core systems, adhering to best practices and security guidelines.

Business Acumen : Possessing a keen understanding of business needs and maintaining really close collaboration with business units to ensure IT solutions are perfectly aligned with their objectives and challenges.

Be in tune with the business side, ensuring that the technology solutions provided are not only efficient but also relevant and responsive to the evolving needs of the business.

Data Governance : Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data accuracy, privacy, and security.

Innovation and learning : Engage in innovation and continuous learning to meet current and future challenges, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Project Management : Manage data-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

Dev Ops Integration: Integrating Dev Ops practices to streamline development and operations, ensuring rapid, reliable, and continuous delivery of IT solutions that meet business needs.

Performance Optimization : Continuously evaluate and optimize data systems for improved performance and scalability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work across different departments to promote data literacy and empower data-driven decision-making.

GEMS Energy activities understanding: Familiar with GEMS' role in asset optimization, trading, sales, energy markets as well as back office, risk management, etc.

Must have: Python Proficiency Functional and Technical Analysis Agile Development Experience Database Management Information Security System Deployment and Maintenance: experience in deploying solutions across various environments, including cloud, and their ongoing maintenance.

System Integration Dev Ops Tools: Knowledge of Dev Ops tools like Docker, Jenkins, and Kubernetes for continuous integration and deployment.

Performance Tuning Competence in data visualization tools - as Power BI- from and IT perspective.

Understanding the energy sector's dynamics.

Agile Development Experience Education and professional background: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field to provide a strong technical foundation.

Certifications in relevant technologies and methodologies such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, database management, and data analytics can be beneficial.

At least 5 years.

Languages: Proficiency in Spanish High English Travels: Travel occasionally to headquarters or to other countries in order to share experiences or to assist to special events.
