We are looking for an Engineering Environmental Specialist, whose main function will be:
Identifying and controlling environmental legal requirements for each project and ensuring compliance:
This involves understanding and adhering to the environmental laws and regulations specific to each project and ensuring that the project complies with them.
Attending environmental audits to ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements during the engineering stage:
This involves participating in environmental audits to ensure that the project meets the standards set by ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Developing a Water Management Plan and sustainability actions during engineering and construction:
This includes creating plans for managing water resources and implementing sustainability actions to minimize environmental impact during the engineering and construction phases.
Creating Environmental and Social Plans during engineering and construction phases:
This involves developing plans to address environmental and social aspects of the project during the engineering and construction stages.
Conducting calculations and reports for greenhouse gas emissions during the project's engineering stage:
This includes performing calculations and preparing reports related to greenhouse gas emissions to assess and manage the project's environmental impact.
Developing the scope of work and purchase requisitions for various environmental baseline studies:
This involves defining the scope of work and acquiring necessary resources for environmental baseline studies such as soil characterization, initial noise surveys, initial air emission surveys, and initial sea water samples for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) during the engineering stage.
Implementing spill prevention programs and hazardous waste regulations:
This includes developing and implementing programs to prevent spills and comply with hazardous waste regulations.
Reviewing and developing Best Available Techniques Reference (BREF)/Best Available Techniques (BAT) reports during the engineering stage:
This involves reviewing and creating reports on best available techniques for minimizing environmental impact during the engineering stage.
Reviewing, identifying, and controlling requirements and following up on EIA measures:
This includes assessing, identifying, and managing the requirements for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) measures.
Developing AIR Dispersion Studies and LDAR Database and Programs:
This involves creating studies on air dispersion and developing programs and databases for Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR).
To qualify for this role, you would need to meet the following requirements:
Hold a bachelor's degree in environmental science or a relevant field.
Possess between 8-10 years' experience in a similar role.
Have in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, interpretations, and health and safety programs.
Demonstrate the ability to solve problems quickly with advanced conflict resolution skills.
English C1 Showcase outstanding analytical abilities.
Have experience with CADNA A/R, AERMOD Software, ADMS Software, and other relevant environmental software tools.
