Quality Assurance Engineer

As the Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll be tasked with designing and implementing QA practices covering strategy, automation and execution, non-functional testing, and contributing to making the solution end-to-end successful as part of a DevOps team.
You'll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises.

About the team
The Applications IAM team lives for securing access and secrets of technical identities all across the Swiss Re group's IT eco-systems, including the public cloud.
We are part of the CSOs Product and Engineering Unit - as a whole we are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk, and compliance.
We define and advance the company's information security strategy.
We are looking for a QA engineer to help us excel in the quality assurance of our IT services and components.
You will design and execute functional and non-functional tests, identify and report defects, and collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders.
You will also help to define and improve the testing standards, methodologies and best practices.
You will have the opportunity to work on challenging and innovative projects in the IAM domain.

In your role, you will…
Implement quality assurance measures throughout the complete DevOps life cycle
Plan and lead E2E testing
Test specific components against requirements such as performance, load, reliability, and availability
Collaborate with our DevOps & Reliability Center of Excellence
Contribute to the further development of our service and system health monitoring
Contribute to Swiss Re's healthy and transparent risk culture where everyone engages in continuous risk accountability activities

What we need from you
Passion, drive and a belief in the value of QA to make solutions end-to-end successful
5+ years of relevant work experience
Solid experience & skills in software testing and test automation
Solid experience in automated testing of modern web applications and REST APIs
Sound Java and Python programming skills
Experience with public cloud services
Experience with CI / CD, ideally Azure DevOps
Be someone who believes in continuous innovation, is curious and relentless in finding a better way every day
Good communication skills in spoken and written English
Experience with agile projects and DevOps
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a comparable field

Nice-to-have
Background on information security
Experience with complex projects and/or large organisations
Experience in testing integrations to diverse external systems
Proficiency in system engineering or administration, networking, IT infrastructure
Recognized certifications on software quality assurance
For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 42,000] and [EUR 70,000] (for a full-time role).
The specific salary offered considers:

the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
