Manager/VP - Private Equity Infrastructure Origination/Deal Management

This will require an entrepreneurial and driven professional with an M&A infrastructure background to take the lead in helping us expand our business.
The Role The primary focus of this role is to originate relevant transactions primarily in the clean energy infrastructure space, for our private equity clients and facilitate their successful completion.
This involves daily meetings with management teams, advisors, and senior private equity investment professionals to source, pitch, and manage relationships between buyers and sellers on live deals.
The role reports directly to IDN's CEO and offers the potential to evolve into an executive leadership position as the organisation grows.
Who This Role Is (and Isn't) For This role is designed for a results-driven, entrepreneurial M&A professional with exceptional interpersonal skills who is keen to move away from spreadsheets and rigid corporate structures to thrive in a mostly business development and deal origination/management role.
If you prefer in-depth analysis and heavy-lifting over meetings, this role is not for you.
This position is fully remote (with possible travel across Europe required on a bi-monthly basis), requiring a self-motivated individual who is comfortable managing their schedule and workload independently.

Key Responsibilities Origination:
Develop and execute strategies to connect with stakeholders such as developers, IPPs, and advisors through outreach, meetings, and relationship building.
Screening & Vetting:
Assess investment opportunities, gather key information, and decide which opportunities to pursue.
Pitching:
Present opportunities to investors, negotiate terms, and secure mandates.
Deal Management:
Facilitate introductions, foster trust between buyers and sellers, and manage communications to drive transactions to successful closings.
Additional Responsibilities Build and maintain a broad network of contacts to generate proprietary deal flow.
Deeply understand private equity investor priorities and mandates to align opportunities effectively.
Collaborate with the CEO to refine workflows, identify new growth opportunities, and contribute to the strategic direction of the business.
Candidate Profile Experience:
Five to ten years of professional work experience (required); Relevant M&A work experience (corporate finance, advisory, investment banking, brokerage, business development, buy-side, etc.) is required.
Experience in M&A advisory specifically is preferred; Proven exposure to clean energy infrastructure transactions being a must-have.
Skills & Attributes:
Strong business development and relationship-building skills and a drive to deliver results.
Exceptional emotional intelligence (EQ) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
Entrepreneurial and proactive, thriving in a remote and autonomous work environment.
Ambition to contribute strategically to the company's growth while demonstrating operational excellence.
Fluent in English AND in a second European language preferred.
