General Expertise At least 5 years' experience working in data warehouse projects
Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues.
Communication: Effectively communicating technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business users.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Data Governance: Knowledge of data quality, data lineage, and compliance requirements.
Business Acumen: Ability to understand the data and the business context and able to create an effective and efficient data flow.
Technical Skills Matillion:
ETL Processes: Proficiency in designing and implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows.
Orchestration: Managing and scheduling data pipelines.
Data Transformation: Using Matillion's transformation components to clean and prepare data.
Integration: Connecting to various data sources and destinations.
Snowflake:
Data Warehousing: Deep understanding of Snowflake's architecture, including data type, collation, virtual warehouses, micro-partitions, and clustering.
SQL: Advanced SQL skills for querying, data manipulation, and performance tuning.
AWS:
Amazon S3: For data storage and integration with Snowflake.
AWS Glue: For data cataloging and ETL processes.
IAM (Identity and Access Management): Managing permissions and security.
Basic AWS Services: Understanding of EC2, Lambda, and other relevant services for data engineering.
AWS EMR, Apache Spark - big data workloads.
Programming Languages:
Python: For scripting, automation, and data manipulation.
SQL: For database querying and data transformation.
Terraform: For deploying AWS resources.
DevOps:
Experience in creating pipelines using established CI/CD frameworks in cloud (e. g. AWS specific CICD skills that includes Bitbucket, Jenkins, . ).
Testing & validation:
Experience with automation test frameworks using tools like X-ray, Sonarqube, etc.
