The MongoDB Application Modernization Consulting Practice exists to support our customers in their GenAI-accelerated modernizing of legacy applications.
You will hire and develop top application delivery talent, contribute to best practices and our modernization body of knowledge, support modernization projects throughout your respective region, and contribute to sales efforts to position application modernization initiatives to our most demanding customers.

This role can be based in the United States or United Kingdom.
Candidate Qualifications
15+ years of career experience in consulting for system integrators or software companies including 5+ years in services sales or delivery leadership.
Successful track record in a senior professional services delivery role, with responsibilities for sales and delivery.
Familiarity with enterprise-scale software architectures, cloud architecture, application development methodologies, and deployment / operational considerations.
At ease operating in a dynamic, fast growing business, able to be self-sufficient with a can-do attitude and ready to make yourself accountable for strategy, execution and results.
Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, changing environment with often limited data.
Demonstrated leadership skills, with direct responsibility for managing and developing senior leaders.
Demonstrated capability to establish meaningful relationships with customers and partners, manage customer expectations and escalations effectively, and build mutually beneficial relationships with partners.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, along with strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Comfortable traveling for work as needed.
Position Expectations
Lead an organization primarily responsible for materially impacting customer consumption rates through application modernization.
Accountable for the overall success of the PS application modernization practice based on established performance metrics.
Accountable for hiring, development and deployment of talent throughout the practice; proactively cultivating a pipeline of candidates with new perspectives and experiences.
Accountable for best practices, innovation and continuous acceleration of modernization of applications.
Establish and maintain a culture of mutual accountability between PS and customers.
Partner with PS and other field teams for continuous improvement of customer engagement models.
Support MongoDB teams in management of risk throughout the modernization engagement lifecycle.
Work closely with PS and customer partners, developing mutually beneficial solutions to relationship challenges.
Responsible for developing the capabilities and maturity of the leaders on your team.
Accountable for ownership of all delivery assets, tools, capabilities, systems, processes and playbooks.
Collaborating with other functions across the company as a key partner to global Professional Services strategy development and execution.
Success Measures
Successful execution, evolution and acceleration of application modernization playbooks.
Identify and manage leading indicators that indicate intentional behaviors that ensure successful execution & acceleration of modernization engagements.
Successful evolution of the capability of the application modernization practice - roles and responsibilities, career paths, scalability of team, capacity, and delivery excellence.
Decisions driven by well-maintained, robust tracking and reporting of key performance indicators by workload, project and delivery portfolio.
