Senior devops/cloud engineer

We're on the search for a highly experienced Senior Dev Ops Engineer ready to join our Devops team in building and supporting our Plytix PIM.

Our Development team is based in Malaga, but it's fine if you code your best from the comfort of your own home or even from a different city-the location doesn't matter, you do! What is Plytix? This is where you'd typically see a long paragraph of boring text that no one reads, peppered with corporate buzzwords that don't mean anything.

But Plytix is no typical company, so we'll spare you from that.

You'll have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of an ever-expanding scale-up with your ideas and coding experience.

What will you be doing? A day in the life of a Plytix Devops is an exciting one.

You'll be collaborating on challenges, like taking an active role in infrastructure designs and making sure that they are scalable and robust.

You will need to ensure these systems are implemented following the latest architectural patterns and best practices.

You'll always be aligned with your team and proactively lead initiatives for our ever-improving platform.

All in all, you'll be a busy bee.

But don't worry, there's always time to crack open a beer and have fun! After 1 month: You'll have a good grasp of our favorite tools and processes, and your code will start flowing.

You'll start performing small tasks so that you can start to show off your engineering skills.

You'll take part in any engineering discussions and production procedures as a spectator.

After 3 months: You're now becoming a true Plytix Dev Ops, and are now expected to become more independent and perform tasks on your own from the very beginning to the end.

We expect you to also start proposing automations and ideas to improve how some things are implemented.

6 months in: You're fully integrated into the team, and work just as well (and as quickly) as anyone else there! You're collaborating with other departments to find the best possible solutions for our customers to have the best quality system.

You're delivering high-quality, fast-running solutions that'll be tested to iron out any potential errors.

By now you're confident in your role, performing any task needed in development and production environments.

You will also be part of on-call rotations providing support to our production environment infrastructure (around 3 weeks a year).

Who will you be working with? You'll be working with your fellow devops engineers, making sure that everything is running smoothly, but they aren't the only shining faces you'll be working with on a daily basis.

You'll also be working with the SRE and Development teams to keep customers smiling with how amazing their Plytix PIM is.

4+ years working as AWS cloud engineer.

Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes (4+ years of experience) and tools like Helm.

Good Git Ops knowledge (Flux, Argo CD).

Strong Linux skills.

Strong understanding of networking and security principles.

Practical experience with scripting languages (Bash/Python…) Experience with Terraform.

Experience providing infrastructure for Web Applications.

Effective communication skills in spoken English and Spanish.

Nice to have Experience with: Cybersecurity.

CI/CD tools.
