Student Assistent for the Danish Association

Doctors without Borders Denmark is seeking a student assistant to support the planning and execution of associative and external events, as well as assist with volunteer and member engagement activities.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for humanitarian work.

The student assistant will play a supportive role in the planning and execution of events to engage and connect with the MSF Denmark Association.
This role combines administrative and logistical support with creative event planning and implementation, fostering collaboration and communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.

In addition, the student assistant will help coordinate events and activities with our five national volunteer groups.
This includes facilitating capacity-building initiatives and maintaining ongoing communication with the volunteers.

We are looking for:

• A student with a bachelor's degree completed or in the final stages, preferably in relevant study fields such as project/event management, political or social sciences, communications, marketing, business administration or management.
  
• Prior experience in event coordination or project management.
  
• Prior experience with member engagement and international collaboration and exchange.
  
• General knowledge about humanitarian or global health issues.
  
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
  
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with interest in working with many different groups and stakeholders.
  
• Experience with event management software.
  
• Experience with member engagement tools and methods.
  
• Creative mindset.
  

The student assistants' main responsibilities will be within:

Planning and execution of associative events

• Manage all logistical aspects of MSF Denmark's associative events (approximately four a year), including venue booking, catering arrangements, technical equipment setup, and transportation coordination.
  
• Support the planning, execution, and follow-up of the yearly General Assembly from start to finish.
  
• Develop, update, and maintain detailed checklists and event timelines to track deliverables.
  

Support for volunteer engagement activities

• Assist volunteer groups in organizing and executing local events that align with the MSF's strategic priorities, offering guidance and resources to ensure success together with the Association Coordinator.
  
• Coordinate the creation and dissemination of event toolkits, materials, and resources for volunteer-led initiatives, ensuring alignment with Outreach, Fundraising, Advocacy, and Communication goals.
  
• As part of the Outreach team, support mobilizing volunteers for external events, forums or opportunities requiring additional resources.

• MSF has a flexible working strategy with the option to work partly from home.
  
• There will be occasional work during evenings and weekends in relation to the execution of associative and volunteer events and activities.
