Broiler Supply Manager

JOB OBJECTIVE

• As Broiler Farm Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Manor Farm Broiler operation. Reporting to the Live Operations Director, the Broiler Supply Manager will be a part of the Live Operations Team and will engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver supply chain excellence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the supply of circa 48 million broilers per annum.
• Oversee an estate of 150 contracted farm suppliers comprising of circa 300 broiler houses.

PERFORMANCE

• Develop best in class methodologies for bird husbandry, ventilation, house construction, etc.
• Use these methods to focus on improving poor performers within the system.
• Use data and metrics to support analysis.
• Assist with the rollout and implementation of company projects and initiatives.
• Manage ongoing projects within the Broiler Operation and wider Live Operations.

COMPLIANCE

• Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with Manor Farm procedures.
• Deliver excellence in Animal Welfare, Biosecurity, Disease Control, and Food Safety.
• Involvement in Customer/Quality audits/Regulatory visits as required.
• Comply with relevant company policies, procedures, and practices.
• Carry out weekly, monthly, and annual reporting at local and group level.

PEOPLE

• Manage a team of 5 Broiler Field Advisors across the Cavan, Monaghan, and Limerick regions.
• Represent Manor Farms Broiler operations at group level.
• Facilitate regular engagement with each of the main grower groups.
• Maintain a strong working relationship with stakeholders further up the Manor Farm Supply chain including: Manor Farm Nutrition Centre and Parent Stock Operations.
• Work closely with non-farm suppliers to deliver supply chain excellence - Hatchery, Vets, Laboratory.
• Engage in industry events, forums, and discussion groups as and when required.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience within the poultry industry as well as a relevant qualification in Agriculture.
• Have an excellent understanding of bird welfare and management skills.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Science, or similar.
• Or relevant experience in a similar role.
