Your role and responsibilities
A new challenge for you is ahead at ABB in Västerås.
Are you ready to take the challenge in a global company with a solid ground in Västerås, Sweden? The HR Manager for Payroll and Employee Lifecycle is fully accountable for managing the operation in the country and takes responsibility for the delivery of high-quality services to supported business locations and clients against agreed performance targets across all Service Lines.
As part of the regional HR organization, the HR Manager contributes to the global, regional, and local roadmap and deliverables.
You will be the Line Manager for approximately 10 people.
ABB is a company striving to be the best partner in automation worldwide.
We do buy companies that suit our portfolio, so integration of other organizations and sometimes even selling departments is something that you will work with as projects in the future, concerning payroll and HR questions.
Our next big project is the integration of Workday as our main business system, which will be in place and running by 2025.
The project is ongoing.
We ensure that we deliver HR Services in time and with an excellent customer service mindset.
Correct processes are in place, and systems and processes are developed together with our global organization.
You take care of your team's well-being as well.
You are a real team player and work together with business and other stakeholders smoothly towards the best possible solutions.
Even though your responsibility is the Swedish organization, the HRIS environment is international.
Your own manager is based in Finland, and you also have close colleagues in other North European countries.
Be responsible for HR Services in Sweden with great emphasis on developing the function and optimizing the processes.
With your team, be part of projects for example in new systems, improvements, and new labor laws.
Strong analytical approach to problem-solving, high degree of proactive behavior, result-orientation, and a high degree of structure, keeping deadlines in focus.
Follow up on costs and budget.

Qualifications for the role

Leadership role in managing teams and experience in Payroll, Shared Service Operations, or HR (insourced or outsourced).
Minimum 5 years' experience with broad HR services in an international organization.
Experience in a manufacturing company is a benefit.
Experience with process development and optimization.
Experience in Project Management or Lean/Six Sigma is a benefit.
Experience with SAP and good skills in Excel.
It is a great benefit if you have been working with Workday.
