Wir arbeiten theoretisch-konzeptionell, systematisch und kreativ. Die wissenschaftlich fundierte Beantwortung von managementrelevanten Fragestellungen in den Gebieten Strategie, Preis- und Markenmanagement sowie Omnichannel Business stehen im Zentrum unserer Forschung. Während Ihrer Promotion unterstützen wir Sie durch direktes Feedback. Darüber hinaus profitieren Sie von einem lehrstuhlübergreifenden, konstruktiven Austausch mit anderen Fakultätsmitgliedern und Doktorand
• innen. Im Rahmen von Beratungs- und Kooperationsprojekten arbeiten wir eng mit führenden Unternehmen zusammen. Als Ziel Ihrer Promotion werden Sie bestmöglich auf Karrieren in Unternehmenspraxis wie auch der Wissenschaft vorbereitet.
Dafür sprechen Forschung und Praxisrelevanz des Lehrstuhls. Prof. Martin Fassnachts Alumni sind erfolgreiche Manager großer Unternehmen, forschungsstarke Professoren oder Partner führender internationaler Unternehmensberatungen. Ebenso ist Prof. Fassnacht für Zeitungs-, Radio- und TV-Interviews aktiv an der medialen Diskussion strategischer Fragestellungen gefragt und beteiligt. »We inspire business« ist unser Anspruch.
Ihre Aufgaben
Entwicklung und Publikation eines kumulativen oder monografischen Promotionsprojektes in den Bereichen strategisches Marketing, Preis- oder Markenmanagement oder Omnichannel Business
Zusammenarbeit mit Praxispartnern an wissenschaftlichen Beratungs- und Kooperationsprojekten
Mitarbeit an Lehrveranstaltungen und Übernahme von Verantwortung in der Lehrstuhladministration
Absolvierung von Doktorandenkursen und Aneignung neuer fachlicher und methodischer Fähigkeiten
Ihr Profil
Sehr guter Masterabschluss (oder kurz vor dem Abschluss) in Wirtschaftswissenschaften, Psychologie oder einem verwandten Studiengang
Praxiserfahrung oder Studienschwerpunkte im Bereich Strategie und/oder Marketing
Begeisterung für die Forschungsschwerpunkte des Lehrstuhls
Selbstständige, proaktive Arbeitsweise und Bereitschaft, Ihr Forschungsprojekt eigenverantwortlich und intensiv voranzutreiben
Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse

An der WHU forschen und lehren mehr als 50 Fakultätsmitglieder in den Bereichen Management, Finanz- und Rechnungswesen, Volkswirtschaftslehre, Unternehmertum und Innovation, Marketing und Vertrieb sowie Supply Chain Management. Die hohe Forschungskompetenz der WHU ist das Ergebnis einer Besinnung auf drei wesentliche Forschungsgrundsätze:
Qualität, Internationalität und Anwendungsbezug für Lehre und Praxis.
Der Lehrstuhl sitzt in Düsseldorf, die Tätigkeit kann aber weitgehend standortunabhängig innerhalb Deutschlands per Remote Work ausgeübt werden. Es fallen regelmäßige Termine sowohl in Düsseldorf als auch in Vallendar an.
