Air Operations Planner

About the Position:
This position is located in Headquarters U.S.
AFRICA Command (AFRICOM), Operations - J3/7, Current Operations Division.
As an Air Operations Planner, you will develop, coordinate, and staff with USAFRICOM directorates, components, sub-unified commands, and task forces on all plans and orders for the employment of air and space assets.Who May Apply:

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes:
Planning and organizing aviation and/or space operations activities such as fixed wing aircraft to include mobility and/or Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms, with knowledge of rotary-wing platforms;Formulating program policies and procedures towards development and deployment of assets (e.g.
manpower, air and space assets).This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.Evaluation Criteria:
