The Impact You'll Make in this Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced logistics initiatives lead with the ability to work on the strategic, operational and tactical elements of the business.
As a Logistics initiatives lead you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:

• Operationalize the Global Logistics strategy by determining strategic opportunities within EMEA that align with the Global Logistics strategy and developing the tactical steps to execute the strategy.
  You will translate high-level business strategies into actionable plans, operationalizing the global vision into measurable regional objectives while ensuring compliance and regional adaptability.
  
• Collaborating with Global Logistics leadership to develop and implement optimization initiatives across distribution centers and transportation networks, with a focus on process standardization, efficiency benchmarking, and operational excellence.
  
• Leading the separation of logistics operations from our parent company across multiple distribution centers and transportation networks, ensuring seamless transition while mitigating risks.
  You'll play a key role in designing and implementing a new structure that meets Solventum's operational standards and drives autonomy within our logistics framework.
  
• Implementing best-in-class optimization initiatives for both distribution centers and transportation networks, focusing on network redesign, process standardization, efficiency benchmarking, and cost-effective logistics solutions.
  This includes identifying areas of improvement and deploying targeted strategies to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
  
• Owning and driving continuous improvement initiatives for EMEA, aligning with global standards and strategy to ensure consistency, efficiency, and innovation across all logistics activities.
  You will champion standardization efforts, implement global best practices, and adapt them to meet the unique needs of the EMEA region.
  
• Supporting and developing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the logistics function.
  You will lead by example, empowering team members with clear goals, mentorship, and growth opportunities.
  
• Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, including cross-functional teams within logistics, procurement, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment on objectives, manage performance, and drive mutual success.
  This involves fostering strong internal partnerships, coordinating across departments, and managing expectations to support seamless, efficient, and strategically aligned logistics operations.
  

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field AND extensive experience in logistics or supply chain management with proven expertise in distribution and transportation.
  
• Extensive experience managing and executing large-scale logistics projects, with a focus on separating integrated operations, optimizing distribution networks, and driving efficiency improvements.
  
• Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of successfully managing teams, fostering engagement, and leading change in dynamic logistics environments.
  
• Analytical and strategic mindset, with proven skills in data analysis, process improvement, and performance benchmarking.
  
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and adaptability skills, with the ability to thrive in complex, fast-paced environments and to influence cross-functional teams.
  

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree in in logistics and supply chain from an accredited institution preferred
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) with demonstrated experience in applying Lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and improve operational performance.
  

Work location:

• Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Düsseldorf when required.

May include up to 20%
