Throughout all stages of the clinical drug development process, this role offers tactical oversight and strategic leadership for the clinical and medical components.
In compliance with relevant GCP standards, this individual is in charge of designing, developing, and carrying out clinical development plans (CDPs), clinical trials, and procedures.
This individual oversees and participates in the documenting of study outcomes, the analysis of study results, and the evaluation of how well the study or studies have met clinical or regulatory goals.
In meetings with partners (such as vendors, consultants, etc.), external audiences, and external stakeholders (such as collaborators, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), investigators, regulatory bodies, etc.), this person may provide clinical or medical representation.
We now have client-dedicated and internal PPD roles available in the neurological discipline.
A day in the life:
Supplies medical information and oversees the clinical research.
Medical Monitoring of clinical studies.
Develop and approve the scientific techniques that guide the creation and application of clinical protocols.
Make sure the research participants are safe.
Examine adverse event, lab, and other clinical data on a regular basis, and make sure that reporting is completed on schedule.
When necessary, work together with the independent safety committee and the study executive.
Participate in trial teams to represent clinical research.
Contributes to, reviews and approves study protocols, protocol amendments, study manuals, Investigator Brochures (IBs), Clinical Study Reports (CSRs), Informed Consent Forms (ICFs), Case Report Forms (CRFs) and other clinical documents as required for the conduct of clinical trials As needed, it interprets, condenses, and records clinical data for articles, other publications, and regulatory filings (such as INDs, annual reports, NDAs, MAAs, etc.).
Work along with top academic medical facilities.
Find, mentor, and inspire clinical investigators.
Comply with all applicable SOPs and GCPs to ensure study compliance.
Engage in long-term strategic planning.
Education A medical doctorate with a neurology specialty is required.
Drug Development experience in the area of Neurology.
Experience with monoclonal antibodies and/or translational medicine is desirable.
Know-How, Proficiency, and Abilities:
Exhibiting a diligent and proactive approach to problem resolution outstanding capacity for leadership able to give numerous instances of developing and putting into practice the clinical and scientific concepts needed to prepare the protocols for clinical trials and investigations.
demonstrated proficiency in the planning, execution, and analysis of clinical trials.
Previous experience with regulatory submissions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel.
